About

I’m a Canadian/American singer-songwriter based in the Philadelphia area who, for over a decade, has done my best to wear my thoughts on my sleeves via a blog. Though it started with me in 2010 as an enthusiastic street healer trying to explain how the world works, the journey’s had a few twists and turns since then (some of which can be summed up here). The blog started as Funkonventionality, which was impossible to spell, then switched to Live It Real, which sounded much cooler when I was 19, and more recently has migrated to simply using my real name, which is about as real as it gets anyway.

But the point of this 11-year-old blog since day one has been to pass on things I’ve seen and heard. I’m grateful to others who took the time to share theirs, so I’m doing my best to share mine. If you’re interested in diving deeper into the story of a renegade faith healer who goes to theater school, you’ll definitely want to check out the audiobook musical and album project currently in the works 🙂

Thanks for stopping by. Don’t hesitate to drop me a line!
